190.Miangas (WAMS)
In order to facilitate our flights we're going to try switching things up a little. Be sure to find an aircraft that can cruise 150+ KTAS. But also choose an aircraft that can still handle most general aviation runways. This will help us transit more distance per flight. There are plenty of default aircraft that will get you there, both single and multi engine. We're covering over 300NM on day 190. Heading to a small island called Miangas. Miangas Island, also known as "Pulau Miangas," is a small but intriguing island located in the Celebes Sea, part of Indonesia's North Sulawesi province. The island boasts pristine and uncrowded beaches with powdery white sands and crystal-clear waters, perfect for relaxation and swimming. The island's lush, tropical interior offers opportunities for hiking and nature exploration.

191.Davao City (RPMD)
We're continuing on to the Philippines today. Specifically, to Davao. Davao city, located in the southern part of the Philippines, is a vibrant and diverse destination with a wide range of attractions to explore. As the highest peak in the Philippines, Mount Apo offers excellent hiking and trekking opportunities. Davao is famous for its durian fruit. Don't miss the opportunity to taste this distinctive and pungent fruit in the place where it's grown.

192.CEBU (RPVM)
We're continuing north through the Phillipines today. We'll plan to finish the flight in the Capital Cebu City. Cebu City, is a bustling metropolis with a mix of historical and modern sites, including Magellan's Cross and the Taoist Temple. Cebu is famed for its stunning beaches and a vibrant culinary scene, offering delicious Filipino dishes.

193.San Jose (RPUH)
Continuing north to A little place called San Jose. San Jose, Philippines is a charming destination offering a mix of natural wonders and cultural experiences. The city is known for its beautiful beaches, such as White Beach and Talipanan Beach, where visitors can enjoy pristine sands and clear waters. The nearby Ilin Island is famous for its coral reefs and marine biodiversity, making it a great spot for snorkeling and diving. With its natural beauty and cultural richness, San Jose provides a laid-back and immersive experience for those seeking a taste of provincial life in the Philippines.

194.Baguio (RPUB)
To make up for lost time we will be reaching out a little further on this Sunday night flight. There are plenty of helipads along our route past Manila for those of you who want to challenge your rotor skills. We'll be finishing off this scenic flight in Baguio, Philippines. Baguio City, often dubbed as the "Summer Capital of the Philippines," is a scenic mountain city known for its cool climate and captivating attractions. Baguio's blend of natural beauty, cultural heritage, and pleasant weather makes it a favored destination for travelers seeking a refreshing escape in the Philippines.

195.Hengchun (RCKW)
Hopefully you'll have the drive to get this one done. We're leaving the Philippine islands and headed to Taiwan. This is a bit longer than we typically run, however it will allow us to stage for more exploration of the island. We're making a stop in Hengchun today. Hengchun, situated in the southernmost part of Taiwan, is a historic town renowned for its cultural heritage, natural beauty, and vibrant atmosphere. Serving as the gateway to Kenting National Park, it offers access to stunning beaches like Kenting Beach and Baisha Beach, ideal for sunbathing, surfing, and snorkeling.

196.Changle (ZSFZ)
Taiwan is a quick pass for us. We're flying up the east coast near some mountain ranges. Much of the western side of the island nation is developed so we'll take the scenic route. We'll actually be on Mainland China by this evening in Fuzhou City. Fuzhou City, Fujian Province, China, is an area rich in cultural heritage, scenic spots, and modern developments. Renowned for its deep-rooted history, Changle is home to historic sites such as Kaiyuan Temple, a significant Buddhist temple with ancient architecture and religious relics.

197.Shantou (ZWAI)
China is going to look pretty majestic. There is so much interesting terrain. We're going to be headed south on our way to Hong Kong. For today we will plan to arrive at Shantou city, a coastal city in Guangdong Province, China. Shantou's rich culinary scene, particularly its seafood cuisine, is celebrated nationwide. The city is renowned for its educational institutions, including Shantou University. With its blend of history, natural beauty, and modern amenities, Shantou offers a diverse range of attractions for travelers exploring southern China.

198.Guangzhou (ZWUU)
Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong Province in southern China, is a bustling metropolis blending ancient history with modernity. The city offers a diverse array of attractions, including the iconic Canton Tower, a futuristic skyscraper with observation decks showcasing panoramic city views.

199.Wuhan (ZHHH)
Day 199 will not only be the last journey flight for 2023, but is also at the epicenter of how we all managed to find one another. Our holiday break will be in Wuhan, China. Wuhan, the capital city of Hubei Province in central China, is a historic and vibrant metropolis renowned for its cultural heritage and modern developments. The city is situated at the confluence of the Yangtze and Han rivers and is home to the picturesque East Lake, a vast scenic area. The city is famous for its modern infrastructure, bustling shopping streets, and dynamic nightlife. We are covering a hefty 477 nautical miles on day 199. So be sure to bring a book and an aircraft with some speed.
